Anushka performed along with Shahid Kapoor and Vi Das Shahid Kapoor, Vir Das and Meiyang Chang in the 2010 film "Badmash Company". The movie received mixed critiques. Anushka played a role in a film named Band Baaja Baaraat, starring Ranveer, where she played an American Punjabi girl from middle class who sets up her own wedding-planning company. The movie received positive reviews and proved to be a sleeper hit. Anushka's contract to make three films with Yash Raj Films was completed with the Band Baaja Baraat.
